Beacon, Briefly

A few weekends ago, we took a day trip to DIA Beacon, the contemporary art center off the Hudson River in Beacon, NY. I was introduced to a number of contemporary artists whom I hadn’t heard of, and I found myself rather amazed at how big the museum was. It seemed to stretch and stretch, filled with natural (and sunny!) light and lots of colors. While no photos were allowed inside the museum, I made up for it by taking photos of the grounds and Beacon itself. If you’re in New York and looking for a day trip, I definitely recommend driving or taking the train out. It’s an easy (and worthwhile) trip.
